As a result of the unprecedented war aggression inflicted by the Russian Federation, kindergartens, schools, universities and VET institutions children’s hospitals, orphanages, dormitories are being ruthlessly destroyed and damaged. Since the beginning of the war 369 education institutions were affected, 57 of which were completely destroyed. Many students and teachers have been evacuated domestically or abroad, many are in shelters, saving their lives.
The education system data is also at risk. Hardware capacity of the Unified State Electronic Database on Education is placed at a dangerous area at Kyiv, worn out and can fail at any time.
In order to prevent irreversible losses in education and renew the educational process, We urgently need your help to continue:
- to provide within your capabilities Ukrainian schoolchildren, students and teachers with the necessary gadgets (tablets (preferably with slots for SIM- cards), laptops, mobile phones, power banks, etc.) to maintain access to education in this difficult time (6000 units)
- to provide 5000 Tablets for Ukrainian orphanages to enable access to education among the disadvantaged
- to provide access of Ukrainian students to the learning management systems;
- to consider supporting and developing the All-Ukrainian Online School platform, including providing special grants to fill primary school materials that are currently lacking, courses for educators (for example, on psychological work with children in wartime, etc.)
- to promote the information about the platform and its opportunities among the representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in your country in order for Ukrainian children to have constant access to education
- to provide participants of the learning process with basic necessities
- medicines, food, personal hygiene products
- to provide office equipment for the organization of rooms for the training of children
- to support modernization of the Unified State Electronic Database on Education to ensure sustainable functioning of the key national registers on education.
